A Nottingham farmers wedding. Two weeks ago, me and my 2nd photographer Steve had the pleasure of covering Eric and Helen Wrights wedding in Colton Bassett, Nottinghamshire. Probably one of the most interesting weddings we’ve done so far!
What a fantastic Nottingham farmers wedding!
When I first met Helen she said they were getting married at the local church then heading back to their house which was a 2 minute walk down the road. A friend was going to lend them a marque so they could have the reception in their back garden! Well this got me thinking. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but when we turned up and saw the size of this marque. It was huge! There were 150 guests and it could have easily held the same amount again! The thought and effort they had put into their big day was amazing and the whole day/set-up blew us away!
In addition to all of the attention to detail, there were also a couple of quirky surprises! Especially the immaculately groomed prize horse and most noteworthy donuts exhibition by Eric in his new quad bike/rage buggy.
Consequently we didn’t really have any time to rest. There was so much going on at this wedding that we barely got a break. Not that we minded as it was a lot of fun. So much going on and certainly some entertaining guests. It was obvious that is party was going to be quite legendary.
Since then we have taken another booking from a guest at the wedding and can’t wait to see everyone again, bring on the next farmers wedding!
