In this blog I will cover a few of my favourite wedding venues that I have been to this year (with links to their sites). In addition, there maybe a bit about whats in store for next year. However, first things first. Here’s a great big THANK YOU to all my 2015 Brides and Grooms! We’ve had such a crazy year shooting so many weddings. Another year has seen us travel all over the UK. We have shot weddings in Birmingham, Derby and Nottingham to name just a few city’s. We’ve been a part of some very special days and met some absolutely amazing people!
My favourite wedding venues
My favourite wedding venues list has to start with Shustock Farm Barns. The wedding venue is in an 18th century building. It has only recently been turned into a wedding venue in 2013 and is situated in Warwickshire. Furthermore, it’s less than 25 minutes away from Birmingham and Coventry city centres. I think the reason I really like this place is its rustic brick work throughout. It has fair lights all over and super high vaulted ceilings in the main barn. The high ceilings are complemented with old wooden support beams, giving it such a great atmosphere. The staff were professional and friendly and the food was particularly delicious!
Another great place to consider if your looking at getting married is Brocken Cote Hall. This place is just such a classy venue with a real luxury feel to it and has been established as one of the finest luxury hotels and restaurants in Worcestershire.
The last place I’d like to mention is Wethele Manor in Leamington Spa. I’ve had the pleasure of shooting a few times at this wedding venue. What a venue it is! With nice weather you are able to have the ceremony outside in their court yard wich surrounded by beautiful extensive gardens. If you have a large wedding invitation list then this is well worth a look.
Next year is approaching fast, Christmas is already on count down and I only have a handful of weddings left to shoot this year. I’ll definitely be putting my feet up in January and recharging the batteries (camera batteries as well), ready for the wedding season in 2016. Already on the horizon for next year is weddings in London (one is a venue in China Town which I’m really looking forward to) quite a lot around the Midlands and a possible photo booth being added as an extra service.
