WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
You’ll regularly find us shooting wedding photography in Leicestershire, Nottingham, Northampton, Derby and Birmingham. In fact, most of the Midlands! Always eagerly equipped and ready to shoot your wedding day. We’ll even travel further if your wedding falls outside our catchment area. Just visit our pricing page for more details.
Let’s start by taking a look at a typical plan for shooting a wedding. Bear in mind this is just a rough guide of what to expect (we’ve been doing this long enough to know that every wedding is different!)
YOUR WEDDING DAY
We start in typical bridal fashion by visiting you, the bride. We’ll meet up bright and early wherever you want us to, be it the venue itself or the sanctuary of your parents’ house.
We’ll capture you and your bridesmaids getting your hair done, cracking open a bottle of bubbly and some detailed shots of the dress, shoes and anything we think worth capturing. That’ll usually take around 30 to 45 minutes.
Next, our wedding photography will capture you arriving in style at the venue. We’ll grab that all important shot of the bride and father before the walk down the aisle. We’ll then shoot the whole ceremony from start to finish.
If you have opted for a second photographer, they’ll be strategically placed at either the front or rear of the venue so we can capture your once-in-a-lifetime experience from a variety of vantage points.
CANDID WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Once the ceremony is over, we’ll give you some time to chat with your guests. They’ll likely want to congratulate you (we hope!), And you probably won’t have spoken to anyone at length up to this point. You’ll notice we let your day flow naturally, it’s our thing.
After some well-earned mingling time, we’ll look to get some nice group shots of everyone before your guests disperse, then it’s straight into the formal shots. Once over, you’re straight back into wedding mode as we candidly capture you and your guests chatting and having a splendidly fantastic day. After all, these shots often make the best photos.
It’s then onto the meal and the speeches (if speeches are your thing).
From then on, it’s pretty much plain sailing as we continue to capture candid shots of the day unfolding. It’s all part of our wedding photography service of telling the story of your wedding.
BRIDE AND GROOM WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Sometime between the end of your meal and the first dance, we’ll look to take the bride and groom to one side. This gives you the chance to escape the madness for a few minutes, but also for us to grab some more sparkling pictures of the two of you.
The night continues with more candid snaps in the lead-up to the first dance. We’ll document the dance in all its glory, and we’ll continue to immortalise you and your guests into the night as you dance the evening away.
It’s also worth saying that if any of the above is not how you envisage your wedding day, then that’s fine. If you want to tear up the rule book, then go right ahead, that’s what our pre-wedding meeting is for; to understand your plans and what the best way to capture your day is.
